Annually, a final press celebration luncheon, prepared by Chef of the Year Arnold Tanzer, of the Johannesburg-based company Food on the Move, is held at the cellar.
For this event Arnold and his team prepared a three course meal, pairing dishes with Auction Crossing wines and is served al fresco at the beautiful Auction Crossing cellar in the Hex River Valley.
"The main focus point is the wine, the vineyard and the area so the menu is not very fine dining but rather a reflection of upmarket country cooking,” explained Arnold.
